We had an outstanding time at the Rib Fest in
Cass Lake, MN.  A small town and a small
festival but such a big time!  It rained and poured on Saturday and more Bead People went home
with folks than ever  before.

The Journey wanted to do a special project during a visit from state legislators and their families.  Since Jamie was going to be out of town, she did a special trainin for volunteers willing to do the family day.

These cool teens came back the next day
and brought beads for our donation jar!

We had children of all cultures and colors
enjoying the beautiful beads

The weekend was so windy and dusty, and
the beads and Bead People got so much loving
we had to give them a bath after the festival ended.

The Rapid City 9th and 10th Grade Academy Give Away

Two classes built 160 Bead People
and gave them to all the
students and friends at a year-end
picnic.  This one was the first
Bead Person built by a student. We
told him it made the "Hall of Fame".
